====== Print Proofing ====== This is a quick guide to using the print proofing system. You should be familiar with the general operation of your QuickOrder system before following this guide. **NOTE - at present this does not include instructions on template creation or management** ===== Getting Started ===== * Create your PDF templates for all products that require them * Add the templates to the template manager, making a note on a spreadsheet of the ID that the system assigns to each one * You should now have a spreadsheet listing your product ID and its associated template ID ===== Uploading the Template IDs ===== * This guide assumes that you have already uploaded your products to QuickOrder * Save the spreadsheet you created containing product IDs and template IDs as a 'CSV' file * Use the 'Data Upload' option to upload your CSV file as products, and DO NOT tick the 'delete products not found in CSV' box! ===== Enabling the Features ===== * In the 'site admin' area, go to 'Print Proofing' on the 'Integration' menu * Unless you have been provided with custom URLs, enter these URLs in their respective boxes: * **In 'Print Template URL':** http://www.agencyprojects.co.uk/ * **In 'Print Proof URL':** http://www.agencyprojects.co.uk/ * Save your changes * In your 'Pages' screen, add a new page for the user's image gallery. When on the 'new page' screen, choose 'my-gallery.html' from the filename drop-down at the top, and enter your own title. We recommend making this a sub-page of 'my account' but wherever you put it, the functionality will be the same. ===== Shopping Basket Features ===== * When you add a product with an attached template, on viewing the basket you will see a 'create proof' link. This is shown in red (for FreeStyle users, the colour is set by your custom style sheet) * Click this link and proceed through the proof creation * When you have finished the proof, you will be provided with a link back to the shopping basket * On returning to the shopping basket after successfully completing the proof, the link will change to 'view proof' in green (for FreeStyle users, the colour is set by your custom style sheet) * If a shopping wants to add several 'lots' of one product, or the same product with different additional costs or custom options, they will need to create the proof for each 'lot' of products straight after adding it, otherwise it will just increase the quantity of the existing shopping basket line. You can explain this on your shopping basket page. ===== Order Download ===== When orders are downloaded through the integration system, the proofs are attached as documents and can be accessed with the 'Artwork' button. The proof ID(s) will also be displayed on the order. ===== Cost Centre / Project ID ===== * This feature allows you to group orders together and is referred to as 'Project ID', but can be used for tracking cost centres * You can create and maintain a list of Project IDs on the 'Project IDs' screen on the 'Codes' menu - for best results, keep this the same as your internal Project ID list in Promoserve * You can specify a default Project ID * When editing a user, you can attach a default Project ID to that user * Users who are in the 'Shopper Admin' group will also be presented with a drop-down on the checkout to allow them to choose the Project ID ===== Linking to Templates ===== If you want to link to a template and have QuickOrder automatically pass over the user's image gallery and details, link to this URL: * /sso/PrintProofing?option=show_template&template_id=XXXXX * (replace XXXXX with the template ID)
