Price Bands

PromoServe allows you to have multiple price bands - eg. you might have your main prices as your retail prices, and create two price bands “TRADE” and “EDUCATION” for Trade and Education sales respectively.

You might then have several QuickOrder sites - say, Retail, Trade, and Education.

Normally, the integration system will first look for a price band called “WEB” and try using that, and if that does not exist it will use the regular pricing.

However, you can force a product upload job to use a particular price band. You do this by adding ”(Band: NAME)” to the job name.

For example, in the above scenario you might have 3 product upload jobs in your integration panel, uploading to your 3 different sites, with the following names:

  • “Retail upload” – this name does not include a price band, so it will try “WEB” then try the main prices
  • “Trade upload (Band: TRADE)” – this name includes the price band “TRADE” so it will try that, and not look at the main prices
  • “Edu upload (Band: EDUCATION)” – this includes the price band “EDUCATION” so it will use that

If you have specified a price band and it does not exist, the system will NOT try the main prices, because you wouldn't want your retail prices to accidentally show on your trade site or vice versa!
